Strain search results for - Burkholderia pseudomallei 576

Burkholderia pseudomallei 576 was obtained from the Wellcome Trust Unit in Bangkok, Thailand. The strain was originally isolated in 1989 from a 49 year old woman suffering from melioidosis. In the murine model of disease strain 576 is highly virulent and appears to have atypcial LPS. This strain will be used for comparative analysis.
